Any and every contribution made will go directly towards helping a homeless animal being actively rehabilitated by our selfless team of volunteers.
HOW YOU CAN HELP HOMELESS PETS - TODAY.
VOLUNTEER - TIME FROM HOME
To help process applications or assist with administrative tasks such as;
- veterinary & personal reference phone calls
- conduct adoption interviews/home-visits
- schedule vet appointments
- managing social media pages
- managing website updates
VOLUNTEER - HANDS-ON
For those wishing to volunteer and willing to travel, we have more hands-on opportunities such as;
- visit group/family foster homes to take updated adoption photos & video for adoption listings
- attend and handle rescue dog(s) during weekly obedience classes
- assisting during training sessions or socializing excursions
- provide transportation for rescue animals for various appointments
And for those seeking to simply spend time with rescue dogs, we are happy to coordinate days and times for you to sign them out and take them on a day adventure!
Please Note;
Rescue dogs may not always be what most people would expect when only been exposed to "predictable" companions who were raised with love and care.
Many of our companions have been through experiences that have damaged their abilities to trust quickly yet they still have spirits strong enough to overcome these hardships when given patience and space to feel safe.
When volunteering with rescue animals, arrive open minded, compassionate, and do your best not to take any behavioral responses from animals (shyness, etc.) personally.
If anything, take it as your personal opportunity to teach an innocent creature the beauty of being alive and loved.*
